SOUTH BEND - Josef D. Wilder, 18, of 1154 N. Fremont St., was dead on arrival at 6:15 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital from a gunshot wound. Mr. Wilder was born June 18, 1976, in Chicago, and lived in South Bend since 1977, coming from Chicago.
He is survived by his parents, Elonda Hamilton of South Bend and Joseph Wilder of Newark, N.J.; two sisters, Ebony Shorter and Evan Wilder, both at home; three brothers, Jason Wilder, Jonathan Wilder and Jordan Hamilton, all at home; and a maternal grandmother, Herdisene Chillis of Chicago. He was a former student at LaSalle High School.
Services were held today in Clark's Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.
