Larry A. Bunch, 62, passed away at 4:23am on Sunday, May 15, 2022 in his daughter’s home surrounded by an army of love.
Larry was born on January 29, 1960, in South Bend, to the late Jim D. and Bunny (McCormick) Bunch. He is also preceded in death by father-in-law Ellis Stults.
On September 23, 2000, in South Bend, Larry married Sherry (Stults) DeLeu-Bunch. She survives along with daughter Shenna M. DeLeu and son Robert DeLeu. Larry is survived by 5 grandchildren Shanell (Matthew) Perez-Roberts of Bakersfield, CA, Bobbie DeLeu Niles, MI, Adora DeLeu SanFrancisco, CA, Myah Schindler-DeLeu South Bend, IN, Landyn DeLeu Dowagiac, MI; 1 great-grandson Grayson Merrill; loving sister Kathie Bunch of Mishawaka, IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was the owner and operator of Bunny & Company, his family’s carpet and upholstery cleaning business of thirty years. Since the age of fifteen, Larry played bass guitar in various local bands playing many original songs written by them. He was known as “Larry the Light Man”.
Larry was an honest business owner, devoted son and brother, an honorable husband, compassionate father, a loving “Ooie” to his grandchildren whom he adored and most of all a loyal friend. He touched everyone he met with generosity, kindness, gratitude and a good joke. Larry will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Heart To Heart Hospice of Mishawaka, IN.
Larry will be Cremated, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Palmer Funeral Homes – Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
