SOUTH BEND - Michael V. Rhymer, 57, of Kell, IL, died April 15, 2013, at Salem Township Hospital. Born September 22, 1955, in South Bend, IN, he was the son of Doyal V. and Samantha (Kuespert) Rhymer. His mother preceded him in death. He formerly was an over-the-road driver for U.S.F. Holland. He was a member of the Evergreen Christian Church in Salem, and loved his family. He enjoyed doing yard work. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as military police.

He married Johanna Sims, March 20, 1976, in South Bend, IN. She survives in Kell. Also surviving are: Aaron Rhymer, his son, and wife, Sara of Mt. Vernon, IL Doyal Rhymer, his father, of Granger, IN Pasqua Sims, his mother-in-law, of South Bend, IN Grandchildren, Christian Michael and Adrian Ray Rhymer John Rhymer, his brother, and wife, Theresa of South Bend, IN, and their children, A.J. and Zachary Tammy Beeman, his sister, of South Bend, IN, and her son, Ryan, wife, Julia, and their children, Zane and Kaden

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Evergreen Christian Church in Salem with Claude Howell and Shannon Bopp officiating. Burial will follow at Harvey's Point Cemetery, Kell. Military honors will be accorded at the graveside by the Salem American Legion Post #128. Visiting hours will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at the church on Monday. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice and will be accepted by the funeral home.
