Paula Lynn Kelley

Feb. 9, 1963 - Dec. 2, 2019

Paula Lynn Kelley (56), of South Bend, was unexpectedly called home to Glory on the afternoon of Monday, December 2, 2019. Paula was born on February 9, 1963 to the late, Frank Benion and Alberta Hayes-Brown.

Paula is survived by her husband of 35 years, Conrad Douglas Kelley, and her children Christopher Douglas Kelley, of South Bend, Adrian David Kelley, of South Bend, and Sandra Marlene Kelley, of South Bend. Paula is also survived by siblings Frankie Brown, of South Bend, Denise Brown, of South Bend, Darryl Brown, of South Bend, Vanessa (Lynn) Meinerding-Brown, of South Bend, Lilly Binion, of Indianapolis, and Brenda Binion, of Texas; as well as eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by four siblings: Ernestine Brown, Charles Brown, Paul Brown, and Larry Brown.

Paula was a talented beautician, who graduated from Premier Beauty College. She began her career in the Hudson's Hair Salon and ended her career at the Hair Cuttery; however, her talent continued to be a blessing to her family and friends for many years. She used her gift of sign language to minister in the sign choir and enjoyed teaching the pre-school age children in Sunday School and participating in her church choir. Paula loved animals and was beloved for her kind and gentle nature. She consistently demonstrated her devotion, care, and compassion to everyone who knew her. While she will be greatly missed on earth, we delight in knowing she is with our Father in Heaven.

Services for Mrs. Paula Kelley will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Homes - West Chapel, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend IN 46628. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Bishop John Brown, Jr. to officiate. Burial to follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Online expressions of sympathy may be left at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.  And let the perpetual light shine upon them.  May they rest in peace.  And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
