South Bend — Mark A. Kalebic, 54, of South Bend, IN, passed away following an illness at 7:45 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 in Hospice House, South Bend. He was born on March 25, 1952 to George F. Kalebic and Virginia M. (Piasecki) Kalebic-Floor in South Bend, IN and was a lifelong resident.

He was preceded in death by his father George F. Kalebic; stepfather Orvan Floor; stepsister Vicki Lucy; and a step-niece Erin Lucy.

Mr. Kalebic was employed as an ironworker and a bricklayer for nearly 15 years. He graduated from LaSalle High School and proudly served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his mother Virginia M. Kalebic-Floor of South Bend, IN; his son, Zachary Kalebic of South Bend, IN; two sisters Georgette (James) Flower of South Bend, IN and Roberta (Patrick) Ciesiolka of South Bend, IN: a stepbrother Jerome Floor of South Bend, IN; seven nieces and nephews; and 15 great-niece and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2006 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday December 14, 2006 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend with Rev. Bradley J. Metz, C.S.C. officiating. Military services will be conducted by American Legion Post 8357. A private burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery on Friday, December 15, 2006.
