Debra Kay (Stremme) Nowak

June 23, 1953 — March 31, 1992 

South Bend — Debra K. Nowak, 38, of South Webster Street, died at 4 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MINN after an illness. Mrs. Nowak was employed by Kroger Co. as a manager. She was born June 23, 1953 in South Bend and was a life-long resident.

On Dec. 18, 1971 in South Bend as Debra Stremme she married Thomas F. Nowak. He survives with two sons, Anthony and Matthew both at home; her mother and stepfather Patricia P. and Raymond Jeziroski of Mishawaka; a stepmother Shirley Stremme of Byrket, Ind.; a sister Kathleen Stremme of Mishawaka; six stepsisters Marlene Orszulak of Hurst, Texas, Linnette Blesssing and Pamela Balestre of South Bend, Vicky Littman of Niles, Donna Rodino of Elkhart and Denisse Jones of Elkhart; a brother Loui Stremme of South Bend; two stepbrothers, Boyde Stremme of Mishawaka and Raymond Jeziroski of South Bend; and a maternal grandmother Margaret Stremme of South Bend. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Hungry Catholic Church. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in Zoahoran Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church repair fund.
