Daniel C. Van Lake

Daniel C. Van Lake, 50, residing on Crumstown Highway, South Bend, In., passed away at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday March 2, in his home. He had worked 18 years for Curtis Products, South Bend as a master fixture builder.  Danny was born on July 17, 1953 in Mishawaka, Ind., to the late CyrIel "Sonny" and Edna (Hanke) Van Lake, and had lived in the area all of his life. 

On Nov. 7, 1998 in Mishawaka he married Mary Bailey. Danny Is survived by his Wife, Mary Bailey of South Bend; one daughter Roma (Brian) Thibaut of South Bend; one stepdaughter Tennige Land of Mishawaka; four step-grandchildren Ronnie and Justin Geyer, and Alexxys and Taylor Armstrong all of Mishawaka; two sisters Roseanne Van Lake of South Bend and Diane (Jack) Wilson of Mishawaka; and by a nephew Jacob Wilson and his daughter Destiny. 

Danny was a loving father, brother and husband. He was an avid NASCAR and Rusty Wallace fan and loved Harley Davidson riding 

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm. Friday March 5, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, N. Rev. DV Mize will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today In the funeral home.
