Edward J. Zalas Sr. 

July 22, 1952 — Nov. 11, 1992 

South Bend — Edward J. Zalas Sr., 40, of 1127 W. Napier St., died of natural causes at 5:10 a.m. Wednesday in his home. 
Mr. Zalas was employed by Hurwich Iron Co. He was born July 22, 1952 in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 16, 1978 in South Bend he married Christine Kaminski. She survives with a daughter, Laura Zalas of South Bend; a son Edward Jr. of South Bend; one grandchild; his mother Sylvia Zalas of South Bend; a sister Janine Frank of South Bend; and four brothers, Ron, Don, Ery and Pete, all of South Bend.

He was a member of Disabled American Veterans White Eagle Chapter 39. 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Entombment will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum of St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m.
