Bernadette M. (Zielinski) Rayl

Bernadette "Bernie" (Zielinski) Rayl, 51, of Walkerton, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 9, in her residence. 

Bernie was born Feb. 1, 1952 in South Bend, Ind., to Raymond Zielinski who proceeded her in death, and Helen (Baranowski) Zielinski of South Bend who survives. Also surviving are her son, Robert K. Rayl III, of Mishawaka, Ind.; her sister Carolyn (Eugene) Faulstich of Plymouth, Ind.; two brothers Damian (Denice) Zielinski and Al (Nancy) Zielinski both of South Bend; and her companion Walter Rhodes. Bernie lived in South Bend and Lansing, Mich., most of her life. 

Mass will be held on Tuesday Aug 12, at 11 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church. Cremation will take place with burial of cremains at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County. St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Road is handling arrangements.
