Marybeth Jones

Osceola - Marybeth Louise Jones, 66, reunited with her husband and son on November 18, 2021. She got to rest peacefully at home.

Marybeth was born on February 13, 1955 in Michigan City, to the late Robert G. and Betty Jane (Poehler) Rieck. She married David Lee Jones on June 18, 1977 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Marybeth was preceded in passing by her husband (David Lee Jones), son (Aaron David Jones), both parents and her brother.

Marybeth remains in spirit with her children Meredith Jones and Adam Horvath (Osceola) and Ashley (Jones) and Jeremy Day (Monterey). As well as 2 grandchildren (Gabriel, Emma), 3 "grand-doggers" (LemLem, Eby, Bragg), and 3 siblings.

Marybeth graduated from LaSalle High School later working several hospitality jobs displaying her genuine love of people. She worked for several years at Bills Grill (Mishawaka) where she felt like family. Later she worked at Mary's Restaurant and before retiring spent several years in food service at Penn High School and after school care at Walt Disney Elementary. She fulfilled many jobs along the way always looking to help and fill a need. Her kind and generous ways welcomed her into the lives of many.

She enjoyed being outside (there were never enough flowers), listening to music, and working on puzzles. She loved everyone near her, at times stressing her and them out, but was truly brilliant at it. For these reasons her presence will be noticeably misses. We love you Momma.

There will be no visitation or services. Billings Funeral Home (Elkhart) and Center for Hospice Care (Mishawaka) assisted the family in her passing. For those who wish to send a condolence or share a memory may do so at the funeral homes website.
