SOUTH BEND - Russell Blount, 41, of Meade Street, died at 1:45 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Mr. Blount was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service. He was born Nov. 11, 1953, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. On Nov. 27, 1993, in South Bend, he married Rhonda Buirse Fleming.
She survives with a daughter, Trion Blount of South Bend; a son, Juan of South Bend; two stepdaughters, Evelena Buirse at home and Laquesha Holmes of Chicago; a stepson, Michael Buirse at home; one grandchild; his father, George W. of Chicago; a sister, Vicki Blount of South Bend; and three brothers, George W. Jr., Kenneth and Dennis, all of South Bend.
He was a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church and the Post Office Bowling League, and was a veteran of the Air Force.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Clark's Funeral Chapel.
