SOUTH BEND - Ms. Verle Lucille Vaughn Lee, age 62, of Lawndale Street, South Bend, IN, passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 23, 2016.

Verle was born November 30, 1953, in South Bend, IN, to Derry and Cornellius (Brown) Vaughn, who both preceded her in death along with two brothers, Bernester Dale Brown and Derry Vaughn, Jr. She worked at Malibu Corporation in Albion, MI, for 15 years as a Welder retiring in 1999. Coming from Albion, MI, she moved to South Bend, IN. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and her passions were playing cards, cooking, loving her grandchildren and family.

Survivors left to cherish her loving memory include her daughter, Anika (Anthony) Vaughn of Battle Creek, MI.; four sons, Clarence Diallo (Erica) Lee, Omar Lee, Curtis Smith and David Vaughn, all of South Bend, IN; seven grandchildren, LaStar (Corey) Childress, LaNiece White, LaDreya Johnson, Syrria Lee, and Diallo's three children; three sisters, Daphne Vaughn, Sharon Vaughn and Ramona Updike; one brother, Tyrone Anthony Vaughn; three nephews, Jessie “J.J.” Taylor, Derry Tarez (Kelly) Vaughn and Dewon Anthony Bush; one niece, Martina Vaughn, all of South Bend, IN; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016, at 1:00 p.m., at Pentecostal Cathedral COGIC, with viewing occurring from 12:00 p.m., to 1:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
