SOUTH BEND - Anthony R. Lee, affectionately known as "Tony," 56, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. He was born on June 17, 1956, in South Bend, to the union of Delores (Fields) and the late Joseph Lee Jr., who preceded him in death in 1988.

Tony graduated in 1975 from LaSalle High School. For the past 30 years he worked at the U.S. Federal Courts as Case Management Deputy for the Honorable Judge Robert Miller Jr.

Tony is survived by his mother, Delores Lee; three siblings, Michael (and Dorothy) Lee Sr., Jerome "Jerry" Lee, all of South Bend, and Ricky Lee of Fort Wayne, IN; six nephews, Michael Jr., Marcus, Ricky Jr., Cortez and Amarion Lee, and Jevon Anderson; three nieces, Raquelle, Shaunte and Alysha Lee; one great-nephew, Marcus Lee Jr.; his godmother, Mrs. Louise Blake, and the Blake family; his coworkers and friends at the offices of the U.S. Federal Court, the U.S. Attorney and the U.S. Marshall; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Tony's hobbies included dancing, bowling, traveling, playing cards, watching crime shows, with "Without a Trace" being his favorite, and he loved spending time with his mother. Tony was as a good son to his mother, for whom he had profound love and respect; he was a good brother and an excellent friend. He was a genuine and kind person. He will be greatly missed by all the lives he touched. His maternal grandmother, Ms. Georgiana Snelling, and his paternal grandparents, Joseph Sr. and Sally Lee, and his godfather, Mr. Hartie Blake Sr., also preceded Tony in death.

A memorial service for Tony will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home, 3525 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614.
