Bonnie Marie (Strychalski) Moore
May 13, 1951 ~ April 28, 2024 72 Years Old
Bonnie Marie (Strychalski) Moore was born May 13th, 1951, and went Home to be with the Lord on April 28th, 2024, after a brief illness.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Thaddeus Strychalski (1918-2016) and Patricia Jane Strychalski (1925-2018). Both “Pat and Ted” had been residents at Healthwin Specialized Care until they passed. Bonnie was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth (1952-2023), of Marcellus, Michigan.
Bonnie graduated from LaSalle High School in 1969. She was a wonderful host and throughout the years, Bonnie spent her free time quilting, sewing, doing cross-stitch, working on puzzles and was an expert at all things crafty. She loved Christmas, watching cardinals (her favorite bird) and she loved the University of Notre Dame, especially the Grotto. Bonnie was also a member of Corpus Christi Parish in South Bend.
Bonnie worked for Comfort Suites near Notre Dame where her many co-workers became good friends, sharing laughs and making memories. Several have commented that: “The guests absolutely loved her because she was so friendly and outgoing!” “She was an amazing woman who brightened the world around her every day!” “She had a natural gift for engaging with people and making them feel special!” “We always liked to laugh and help people discover our town!”
Many friends and family members have commented that: “Bonnie always took exceptional care of her parents.” “Bonnie took such good care of her mom and dad, especially when they lived at the nursing home.”
After her parents passed, Bonnie became a valued employee at Healthwin. She loved her job often referring to it as her “therapy” or her “happy place!” Bonnie spoke very highly of her co-workers and considered them to be like family.
Cremation has taken place per Bonnie’s wishes. Her ashes will be buried with her parents at St. Joseph’s Cemetery later this year.
Bonnie will be lovingly remembered and terribly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
