Thomas R. Bright Jr. Sept. 29, 1951 - Feb. 5, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Thomas Robert Bright Jr., 63, passed away at noon on Feb. 5th surrounded by his family at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Thomas was born September 29, 1951, to the late Thomas "Jack" and Eunice (Whiteman) Bright of South Bend, Indiana.

Tom went to LaSalle High School where he graduated in 1970. On October 25, 1974, he was hired at Saint Mary's - Sisters of the Holy Cross, Inc., where he worked for 40 years until November 29, 2014.

On June 21, 1975, he married the love of his life, Donna (Condon) Bright. They were married for 39 years. Tom attended Crest Manor Church of the Brethren. Tom loved his job at Saint Mary's College, his family, and his dogs, Zodiac and Asha. He leaves behind his wife, Donna (Condon) Bright of South Bend; a son, Chris Bright of South Bend; four sisters and a brother: Nancy Cronin of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Judy Bice of Elkhart, Indiana, Patricia Miller of South Bend, a twin sister, Mary Bright-Thurston (Bob) of South Bend, and a brother, John "JB" (Robyn) Bright of Cass, MI. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Tom will be cremated and funeral services will be handled by Palmer Funeral Homes. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Crest Manor Church of the Brethren, 1342 Berkshire Drive, South Bend, Indiana 46614. Friends may visit with the family an hour before the service at the church. Thank You Everyone at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center who helped take care of Tom.
