Beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and humanitarian, Nikia Sharee Richmond, 44, transitioned unexpectedly at 9:05 PM on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

Nikia (affectionately known as Nikki) was born on July 14, 1977 in South Bend, IN to the union of Janie Dent and Bennie Richmond.

Nikki received her education through the South Bend Community Schools and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1995. She went on to further her education at Michiana Community College, where she received her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. This industrious young woman went on to further her educational studies by pursuing and receiving her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, maintaining a 3.8 GPA in the same field at Trine University. Nikki was employed by Franciscan Health Alliance for the past eight years as an accountant.

Nikki’s pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. Family was everything to Nikki. One of her greatest passions was couponing. Nikki started a Facebook group in 2017 called “Ms. Nikki Coupons”, where she taught others how to coupon. She was known as the “Coupon Queen”. There are over 3000 members in the group. Nikki also loved to dance and make TikTok videos.

Nikki leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Marquise and Devin Myers, both of South Bend, IN; her mother, Janie (Daryl) Moman of South Bend, IN; her father, Bennie Richmond of South Bend, IN; her dad, David Brown of South Bend, IN; her grandmother, Deloris Richmond of South Bend, IN; her brother, Alonzo Richmond of South Bend, IN; two half-sisters, LaShawn (Adrian) Thompson of Indianapolis, IN and Terria Richmond of South Bend, IN; two step-brothers, Dion Brown of South Bend, IN and DeRon (Melissa) Brown of South Bend, IN; three step-sisters: Michelle Brown of South Bend, IN, LaKeisha Moman of Mount Vernon, IN and Daphne Moman of Los Angeles, CA; two granddaughters, McKenna Myers and Charleigh Myers, both of South Bend, IN; one grandson, Braylon Myers of South Bend, IN; two nephews, Alonzo Richmond, Jr. and Adriyan Richmond; one niece, Adriyanna Richmond; as well as a host of other family members, relatives and friends who all loved Nikki greatly and whom Nikki greatly loved.

Preceding her in death are her maternal grandparents, Theresa A. Dent and Tommy W. Dent; and Keith A. Myers (the father of Nikki’s children).

While Nikki may be absent from our sight, she will never be absent from our hearts, minds and souls.

Funeral services for Ms. Nikia Richmond will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 24393 Fillmore Road, South Bend, IN 46619.
