Denise Marie (Beard) Redding

Denise Marie (Beard) Redding of South Bend, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 15.She was born to the union of John and Louise Beard on Jan. 2, 1960, in South Bend. She was married in 1984, and was employed by the South Bend School Corporation as a bus driver. Denise was a faithful and dedicated member of the New Horizon Outreach Ministry where she served as one of the leaders of the usher board and Nursery Department and as a pastor’s aide committee member.

Dear family members who survive include two sons, Michael and Adrian Redding of South Bend; father and mother, John & Louise Beard of South Bend; two sisters, Diane (Harrison) Griffith of Lynnewood, Ill., Linda Beard of South Bend; two brothers, John (Frances) Beard and Joe (Geneva) Beard, both of South Bend; special cousin, Toni Barnhill; two godsons, Braxton Barnhill and Jared Erskine, all of South Bend; and by a host of relatives and friends.

Denise was preceded in death by her son, Terry Redding and cousin Virginia Evans.

She will be remembered for her love of children, and her compassion especially towards her family and friends. She was such a giving, kind, gentle and caring soul loved by all that knew her.

Services will be held at 11 a.m.on Monday, Sept.20, in New Horizon’s Outreach Ministry, 56165 Mayflower Road, South Bend, family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clark-O’Neal Funeral Home.
