Timoleon "Tim" S. Philippis

October 13, 1959 ~ November 13, 2024

Timoleon “Tim” S. Philippis of South Bend, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the age of 65.

He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a graduate of Texas Christian University (TCU) with a master’s in business administration.  Tim had the uncanny ability to read an article or book and retain most, if not all, of what he read.  He enjoyed taking things apart so that he could fix and make them work again.  He liked to socialize with others and looked for ways he could help. 

Over the years, he spent time in Wichita Kansas, Fort Worth Texas, and Phoenix Arizona, prior to returning to South Bend to help with and manage the end-of-life affairs of his mother’s elderly sisters.

He is survived by his brother Michael (TeAnn) and his two nieces Sophia and Nicole.  Tim was preceded in death by his mother Vasiliki “Coola” (Pappas) in 2000, his father Serafim in 2013 and his mother’s three sisters, Mary in 2012, Anna in 2021, and Aphrodite in 2021.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, 52455 North Ironwood, South Bend, IN 46635. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 9:30 am followed by the Funeral Services at 10:00 am at St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church, concluding at Highland Cemetery. 

Tim was a loving person and will be greatly missed by his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  May his memory be eternal!
