SOUTH BEND - Darrell E. Preston, 46, of 2801 Frederickson St., died at 8:45 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Preston was head engineer for the South Bend Community School Corp. He was born Jan. 25, 1948, in South Bend. Surviving are two sisters, Jackie Warren and Wanda Williams, both of South Bend; and three brothers, Henry, Terry and Warren Preston, all of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Alford's Mortuary.
