Lea Anne Stalker (Pitcher)

Lea Anne Pitcher
Apr. 12, 1961 - Jan. 4, 2014

SOUTH BEND - Lea Anne Pitcher, 52, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, January 4. Lea was a pillar of strength to all who knew her. Her laughter was immensely contagious, her arms always open, and her heart always full. She was the chosen "second mom" to many of her kids' friends and had a way of communicating with and connecting to anyone who crossed her path.

She proudly served as Executive Director of Camp Millhouse in South Bend for 26 years. As much as she loved "her kids" at Camp, it was her own family and friends who meant the world to her. She was an incredible wife, mother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her loving, devoted husband, Larry Pitcher; her children, Amy Troutmiller (Douglas Pettit) and Aaron Troutmiller (Emily Foldenauer); her siblings, Greg (Barb) Stalker, Julie Stalker, Diana (Marc) Breden, and Collean Loucks; nieces and nephews, Brad (Shannon) Stalker, Janet (Abe) Carr, Katie and Eli Breden; as well as great-nieces and nephew, Alyssa and Kyrstin Stalker & Madison and Zachary Carr; and her grand-dogs, Zelda and Roland Troutmiller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Elizabeth "Bette" Stalker. She was selfless and truly one of a kind.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2014 at North West United Methodist Church, 21855 Brick Rd., with Pastor Vickie Van Nevel officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. She will be missed and never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Camp Millhouse, 25600 Kelly Rd., South Bend, IN 46614.
