John D. Dylewski, Jr, 49 of Mishawaka, IN passed away at 6:45 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. John worked for Pepsi Cola for 15 years from 1985-2000. He worked for Teamsters Local 364 as a business agent for the past nine years. John was born on June 3, 1960 in South Bend and was a lifelong resident. His parents, John D and Thelma (Woods) Dylewski, Sr, preceded him in death, along with one son, Allen Dylewski in 1989 and his brother, Robert Dylewski in 2002.

On July 16, 1988, in Mishawaka, Indiana, he married the former Ann Yankee, who survives. Along with his loving wife, Ann Dylewski, John is survived by one daughter, Jessica Dylewski of Mishawaka; two sons, John D. Dylewski, III and Joseph Dylewski, both of Mishawaka; his father, John Williams of Mishawaka; one sister, Sharon Dylewski of Mishawaka; his stepmother, Barbara Dylewski of Michigan; and one stepbrother, Mike Phillips of South Bend.

John was of Pokagon Indian decent. He attended LaSalle High Schoool in South Bend. John served in the United States Navy from 1978-1982on the USS Midwayand the USS Enterprise.

John was a loving husband and father. His goal in life was to take care of his family that he loved so deeply. He also had an extended family with the teamsters where brother hood, loyalty, and unity meant so much. John loved to draw, lift weights, play pool and golf, and enjoyed karate, but most of all...to spend time with his wife and children. John was a good friend to many and a true man's man. John will be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, August 28, 2009 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM Thursday in the funeral home.
