Carol J. Kowalewski
South Bend - South Bend - Carol J Kowalewski, 64, peacefully passed away on Sunday at her home surrounded by her family. Carol was born June 6, 1957 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Norma (Lehman) and Ervin Wesley. On October 9, 1992 Carol and David Kowalewski were married in South Bend, IN. He survives along with their children; daughters, Maria (John) Montgomery, Tracy (Todd) Cuthbert, Valery (Cory) Bagarus; son Michael (Lori) Kowalewski; step daughter Melissa (Bob) Kush, grandchildren Olivia and Victoria Montgomery, James, Julius and Cora Bagarus, Gavin, Rebeca and Andrew Kowalewski, Christopher, Molly and Zac Kush, Emily, Ethan, and Maggie Mokwa; Ashley (Terry) Denaway; 7 great grandchildren; and siblings, Gail (Rick) Glassburn, Teresa (Robert) Rhodes, and Michael (Jo) Wesley. Preceding her in death was a son Leon Cuthbert. Carol was a graduate of LaSalle High School class of 1975. She was a member of Michiana Steel Headers and a collector of many things her favorites were salt & pepper shakers and wind chimes. Carol enjoyed fishing, and camping with her family. She deeply loved her husband and found her children to be the greatest joy of her life, but enjoyed spoiling the grandkids most of all. Visitation for Carol will be Wednesday June 16, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 5:45 pm, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd.
