Mr. Roosevelt L. Fuller, 61, departed his Earthly home to enter into the arm of his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Hospice House in South Bend. Roosevelt was born on September 11, 1957 to parents Wade and Beautha (Townsend) Fuller.

On September 10, 2004, Roosevelt was united in marriage to his loving companion, Theresa Fuller. Roosevelt was a life-long resident of South Bend, graduating from LaSalle High School. He worked on the assembly line at AM General until his health declined. He was known for the love of his children, grandchildren and loving wife. He enjoyed taking long summer trips to Memphis, TN with his wife, sitting on his porch with his grandkids, waving and greeting the neighbors, watching sports or a movie with his wife and listening to his famous singer, the one and only James Brown. He was also known by his hats. Very seldom would you see him without one. Roosevelt was a beloved husband, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Roosevelt was preceded in death by his parents; uncles E.C. Fuller and Willie Hart; brothers Richard Echols and Fate Echols; sister Addrene Echols; two special cousins, Ronald Gregory and Frank Fuller; special friend Montarvi Beauchamp.  

In addition to his loving wife, Theresa Fuller of South Bend, Roosevelt is also survived by his seven children: Roosevelt F. Jr. of South Bend, Derrick (Ashley) of South Bend, Lamont (Mercedes) of Indianapolis, Derrius of South Bend, Shayla of West Memphis, AR, Danielle of South Bend and Tarmika of West Memphis, AR; brother Wade (Debbie) Fuller, Jr. of New York; sisters Beautha Fuller of Baltimore, MD and Nancy Valentine Fuller of Gary, IN; fourteen grandchildren; special nephew Donald Echols; special friends Micheal (Marilyn) Love, Greg Wilson, Willie Taylor, Ricky Coleman, Larry (Yolanda) Green and Larry (Carolyn) Powell, Sr., all of South Bend; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.

Services for Mr. Roosevelt Fuller will be held on Wednesday, July 31 at 11:00 a.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 116 Birdsell St, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the church. Palmer Funeral Home – West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
