Norris Brown Sept. 8, 1958 - Aug. 20, 2015 SOUTH BEND - Norris Felton Brown, effection-ately known as "Pork Chop," 56, of South Bend, IN, departed this life Thursday, August the 20th, at 10 am at Memorial Hospital. Norris was born September the 8th, 1958, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Albert Williams and the late Girtie B Brown.

Norris was a member of Sweet Home Ministry, and attended Oliver Elementary, Lasalle High School, and then enlisted in the United States Army where he received his diploma. He served 4 years in the military and received an honorable discharge. Norris worked at Lasalle Grill for 3 years as a cook, West Park nursing home and rehab as an environmental specialist, and then at Holiday Corporation for 15-plus years.

His hobbies included playing basketball and dominos. He enjoyed watching sports, spending time with his family, and was a dedicated member of the Naptown Riders. He was also known as the "King of the Grill" to everyone who had the chance to experience his Barbe-que.

He is survived by 5 daughters: Nicole Monique, Kedra Akins of San Diego, California, Stormy Brown, Shana Washington of Indianapolis, IN, Tara Hunt, Kayzah Brown, and one son, William Brown, all of South Bend, Indiana. Two sisters: Juatuan Brown and Ranatia Brown McCoy of South Bend, Indiana. 3 grandsons: Trevione Dotson, Robert and Rico Adkins of San Diego, California, 4 granddaughters, Courtney Pruitt Damirah and Mikia Washington of Indianapolis, Indiana. A sspecial great-nephew, Antonio Martin Jr. of Duncan Ville, Texas, and a special friend, Tina Spann, whom he loved dearly. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.

Norris was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, his parents, Albert Williams and Gertie B, Brown. Two sisters, Minnie P. Wilder and Lenell Teague, one nephew, Dimitrick Teague, two great-nephews, Fred Jones and TreVonne Williams, and one niece, Aisha Brown, and two granddaughters, Coriyah and Taccara Pruitt, and one brother-in-law, Clyde McCoy, also by a best friend, Robert Earl Stuckey.

Services for Mr. Norris Brown will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Sweet Home Ministries, with viewing occurring from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Alford's Mortuary. Alford's Mortuary | South Bend, Indiana, funeral home.
