Fred Burton Jr.

SOUTH BEND - Fred Burton Jr. passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011, in his home. He was born March 4, 1969, in South Bend, Indiana, to Fred Burton Sr. and the late Gloria (Townsend) Burton. He resided in Indiana all of his life. Fred attended LaSalle High School.

Fred was a loving father and leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Fred Burton III and Trevor Burton; two sisters, Jacquelyn Wright of South Bend, IN, Tammy Burton of Elkhart, IN; two brothers, Ernest Townsend and Leon Townsend of South Bend , IN. Fred also has a special friend to cherish his memory, Shawn Quinn.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Gloria Burton; one sister, Valeria Jean Townsend; maternal grandmothers, Martha Townsend and Minnie Burton; and paternal grandfather, George B. Townsend.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, March 24th, in Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier St., South Bend, IN, with visitation one hour prior to the services. Alfords's Mortuary has been entrusted with handling arrangements.
