Chuck was born on November 15, 1959, in South Bend, and was a graduate of LaSalle High School. He loved music and was an original member of the ever-popular band Parkovash. Chuck could often be found at what his family called "his post," which was the gathering place for great meals and lots of laughter. Chuck loved to grill and he made sure that all who entered his home left with a full stomach and a warm heart. Chuck held his family and countless friends dear to his heart, and had a knack for making people feel as if they were a part of his family. He will remain forever in our hearts and will be dearly missed by all. Our family expresses our most heartfelt gratitude to all who loved him and all who cared for him throughout his courageous battle, especially those who cared for Chuck on the 10th floor at Memorial Hospital.

"Love is stronger than death even though it can't stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can't separate people from love. It can't take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death."
