SOUTH BEND - Marcy Ann Donnelly, 50, passed away very unexpectedly Tuesday at Golden Living Center-Fountainview, Mishawaka where she was admitted Saturday for rehabilitation following minor foot surgery.

A proud 1981 graduate of LaSalle High School, she worked at the University of Notre Dame Food Service as a Service Associate. She had also been employed at LOGAN as a Sheltered Worker and at Fountainview in the Laundry.

Marcy was born in Rochester, PA. Her mother Rita Jane (Keene) Donnelly passed on June 14, 1995, and her father Donald Charles Donnelly passed away on September 27, 2009.

Surviving are a brother Kenneth Keene Donnelly of Ardmore; sisters: Jody Keene Walter of Minnesota, Amy Jane Dorn of South Bend and Megan Mark of Pennsylvania,; nephews: Aaron Walter, 12, Luke Walter, 8, both of Minnesota, Andrew Dorn, 13 of South Bend; nieces: Ashley Dorn, 18, Heather Dorn, 16 and Lindsey Dorn, 14 all of Lakeville, IN; great-nieces: Alexis Noel Stump, 2, of Lakeville, Jaydn Mark, Abigail Mark and Annabelle Mark all of Pennsylvania; brother-in-laws: Ed Walter of Minnesota, Christopher Dorn of South Bend and Andrew Mark of Pennsylvania.

Marcy was loved by everyone she talked to. A member at St. Margaret's House and St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Bible Study Group. She rode TRANSPO all the time and knew everyone. She was a very big part of LOGAN and loved puzzles, bowling, cards, Bingo and travel, especially TCU Bus Trips to the casinos. She won several medals in the Special Olympics. Most of all she loved and watched over her family.

Funeral services to celebrate Marcy's life will be held Monday January 31, 2011 at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 51490 Laurel Rd. at Auten Rd, South Bend, IN, 46637, where friends may call from 10-11 a.m., Rev. Gregory K. Fiechtner, Sr. Pastor, officiating. Cremation will follow at American Cremation Society. Memorial donations maybe made to St. Paul's at the address above or to LOGAN PSB, PO Box 1049, South Bend, IN 46624. McGann Hay, Morning Star Funerals & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
