Scott James Doyle

Scott James Doyle Jan. 3, 1974 - July 26, 2014 FISHERS - It is with deep sadness that we tell of the passing on July 26 of our beloved son, husband, father and brother, Scott James Doyle, 40, of Fishers, IN. Scott was born in South Bend on January 3, 1974, the son of James H. and Gloria (Kapsa) Doyle.

He attended LaSalle High School in South Bend where he was a member of the marching band.

He served 5 years in the United States Navy stationed in Hawaii where he was affiliated with VP-9 Golden Eagles. During that time he was deployed to Diego Garcia, Okinawa and Japan. Upon his discharge from the Navy, Scott entered Purdue University, graduating in 2001 from the School of Technology, and later earned his Microsoft Certified Software Developer designation. At the time of his death, he was employed by Availity.

While at Purdue he met his loving wife, Hope Bossingham Doyle. They were married August 4, 2001. She survives along with a son, Ayden (age 3), and a daughter, Lyla (age 6 months). Other survivors include his sister, Erin (Mark) Arenz of Indianapolis, niece, Leah Arenz, and nephew, William Arenz.

Scott loved many things, most importantly activities with his wife and children, daily feeding of the fish with Ayden in the pond, and vacations in Ocean City, Maryland, and Florida. He was famous for his Fourth of July cookouts and his fireworks displays. The family hopes to carry on this tradition. He will be dearly missed by all his family, his many friends, and his faithful dogs, Lexi and Nala.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 3, from 4-8 pm at The BridgeWay Community Church, 12945 Parkside Drive, Fishers, IN 46038. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 4, at 10 am, also at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for his children's education to the Scott Doyle Memorial Fund at any branch of PNC Bank.
