SOUTH BEND - R. Michael Knox, 50, passed away suddenly at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, in Memorial Hospital. Michael was born November 27, 1956, in Peoria, IL, to John and Janet (Mott) Knox of South Bend, who survive.

Also surviving are a sister, Linda (Celestino) Lopez of South Bend; a niece, Mallory Lopez of South Bend; an aunt, Henrietta Mott of Mishawaka; and several other aunts and uncles.

Michael graduated from LaSalle High School and attended I.U.S.B. He was self-employed with his lawn service.

Private funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Aug. 10, in Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery (Mausoleum), Granger, with Rev. Dan Jordan of Calvary Baptist Church, South Bend, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Pet Refuge, 2300 W. 6th St., Mishawaka, IN 46544.
