Chiquitta Lynn Perry-Love, 52, went to be with the Lord at 4:32 a.m. Thursday, May 27th, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.She was born to Mary Louise Perry and William Warfield (deceased) on May 12, 1958. She attended Marquette Elementary School and LaSalle High School.

"Kita," as she was affectionately known, was a lifelong resident of South Bend. She married Duria Love in 1979. Together they raised two children, Demtries Rene Love-Anderson and Brandon Lamont Jones. She also raised nieces, Maria (Ryan) Davids and Shalonda Williams. She worked in dietary at Carlyle Nursing Home. She loved cooking, music, shopping, and spending time with family. She also studied Jehovah Witness.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her mother, Mary Louise Perry; two sisters, Patricia Perry (her caregiver) and Joanne (DeWayne) Laster; one brother, Michael Paxton; one son, Brandon Lamont Jones-Love; two grandchildren, Tianna Rene Anderson and Michael Joseph Anderson Jr.; son-in-law, Michael Joseph Anderson Sr.; two special nieces, Maria (Ryan) Davids and Shalonda Williams; two nieces, Vanessa Love and Dermisha Sanders; a special friend, Sharon (Synott) Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Family members who preceded her in death include father, William Warfield; a daughter, Demtries Rene Love-Anderson; a granddaughter, Shanijah Rena Ward; grandmother, Lucy V. Perry; grandfather, Chester J. Perry; and mother-in-law, Pearline Love.

Services for Mrs. Chiquitta Lynn Perry-Love will be held today, June 3rd, in the Clark O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Clark O'Neal Funeral Homes has been entrusted with arrangements.
