DANA L. MANN

Dana L. Mann Apr. 30, 1963 - Dec. 31, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Dana L. Mann, 51, residing in South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Sprenger Health Care of Mishawaka, where she was staying following recent surgery. She was born April 30, 1963 in Glasgow, Montana, but has lived in the Michiana area her entire lifetime.

Dana graduated from LaSalle High School and attended Ivy Tech. She went on to graduate from Ross Medical Education Center. Dana was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria (Thomas) Mann; sister, Marsha Darr; brother, Arnold C. Mann, Jr.; and her uncle, Chuck Thomas.

She is survived by her father, Arnold C. Mann and stepmother, Paula A. (Mumaw) Mann of South Bend; daughter, Brittany West of South Bend; sons, Cory Cook of Washington and Quinton Mann of South Bend; three grandsons, Douglas, Quinten and Acario; four sisters, Crystal Bland of Osceola, Tara Eary of South Bend, Tracey Thomas of Mishawaka and Tricia (Hoyt) Barlow of Ocala, FL; and several nieces and nephews. Additionally, she is survived by three aunts, Evadean Mae (Terry) Bilski, Irene Kimbrell, and Candy; and two uncles, AB and Russell Thomas. She was especially close to Mae and Irene, who loved and guided her throughout her life. She also has a host of foster sisters, brothers and cousins.

Friends and family will always remember Dana's smile and laughter. Her two close friends, Sonia Womack and Beverly Dunne will always remember everything they've been through together as well as Dana's sense of humor. The Mann family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at Sprenger Health Care for their support during Dana's short stay.

Memorial services for Dana will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, January 8, 2015 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Interment will take place at a later date in Sumption Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to Sprenger Health Care, 60257 Bodnar Blvd., Mishawaka, IN 46544.
