ROBERT VINCENT NAMES

SOUTH BEND - Robert Vincent Names, known by his friends and family as "Vince," passed away on February 7, 2012, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center after a long fought battle with Type II Diabetes.

Vince was a good and well-loved man. He lived each day with a positive attitude and always had a smile. Vince was a member of the NRA and ASPCA, and he served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a graduate of LaSalle High School and Michiana College. He worked for AM General for a number of years, and owned a bait shop on Portage Avenue in South Bend.

He loved spending his summers at the lake with his family, and watching wrestling with his friends. He also loved his Harley. He had a great love for life and the Lord. He is deeply missed, but is now at peace in the kingdom of Jesus, our Savior, where we will meet with him again someday.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Eugene Names.

He is survived by his mother, Eileen Names; wife, Barbara Names; brother-in-law, Bruce Holt; three daughters, Krystal (Charlton) McCully, Tiffany Names (fiance, James Crail) and Samantha Vermande; three stepdaughters, Lori (Steve) Savoy, Bobbi Jo (Scott) Fleser, Hannah (Brandon) Bailey; grandchildren, Alexander McCully, Travis, Benjamin, Andrew and Janella Fleser, Brianna, Brooklyn and Kiara Deavers, Alizabeth and Steven Savoy, Rebecca and Zachary Bailey; two aunts, Jeanne Troyer and Lois Marie Hosford; and three cousins, Gina, Gema and Tracy Troyer.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Monday, February 13, 2012, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.
