Diane Cheryl Nicklas, 49, of South Bend, Indiana passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013. She was born December 31, 1963, in South Bend to Wayne H. & Mary R. (Latimer) Nicklas.

Diane graduated from LaSalle High School in South Bend and the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She had been employed with American Biogenetic Sciences, Inc. at the University of Notre Dame, and most recently with the Animal Emergency Clinic in Mishawaka as a Veterinarian Technician.

Diane is survived by her brothers, Ronald (Barbara) Nicklas of New Carlisle, Indiana, Jeffrey (Becky) Nicklas of South Bend; nieces & nephew, Amy Nicklas, Dallas Nicklas, Sabrina (Adam) Wall, Nicole Zapalski; and great nieces, Teegan & Monroe Wall. Her parents, Wayne H. & Mary R. (Latimer) Nicklas both preceded her in death.

Visitation for Diane will be from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Visitation will continue from 4 – 8 p.m. Sunday afternoon following the funeral service.
