JAMES PICKENS OBITUARY

James C. Pickens Oct. 27, 1965 - July 2, 2014 SOUTH BEND - James Carl Pickens, 48, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. James was born on October 27, 1965, in South Bend, to Harold R. and Joyce (Schlundt) Pickens.

He had been previously employed with Mittler Supply and Airgas.

Survivors include his daughter, Brittany Coffman of South Bend, Indiana; two sons, Austin and Brandon, both of South Bend, Indiana; his mother, Joyce (Schlundt) Pickens of South Bend, Indiana; one sister, Jean (Shawn) Park of Granger, Indiana; and two nieces, Stephanie and Stacy Park.

Friends may visit with the family from 2 until 6 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. A Funeral Service with Military Rites will begin at 6 p.m. James was a 1984 graduate of LaSalle High School and a U.S. Army veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to Miller's Vets.
