MISHAWAKA - Robert Daniel Rychuralski, 58, of Mishawaka, died of natural causes on Oct. 30, 2007, at home. Bob worked for Asphalt Engineers on Ireland Road for many years and retired from Walsh & Kelly Contracting.

He was born December 7, 1948, in South Bend, to Daniel C. and Virginia (Udell) Rychuralski, who survive along with a sister, Peggy Rychuralski of Granger; a brother, Tom Rychards of Avon Park, FL; a niece, Bridget Filipski of Granger; a cousin, Cindy Melczek of Gahanna, OH.

Bob attended Washington and LaSalle High Schools, graduating from LaSalle High School in 1967. He joined the Navy in 1967, serving in the Vietnam era until 1974. He was stationed on Midway Island and served on the USS Suribachi.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 2, in the Highland Mausoleum Chapel, Portage Avenue, South Bend, with interment following at Highland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. The HICKEY Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
