Glenda Denise Scruggs

SOUTH BEND - Glenda Denise Scruggs, age 55, of South Bend, IN passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 6, 2015.

Glenda was born July 7, 1960 to Dan & Hattie (Simon) Scruggs in Chicago, IL, both of whom preceded her in death along with her grandson, Braelyn Scruggs. She graduated from LaSalle High School. She worked 13 years at AM General. She took care of her daughter Ashley and never refused to put her in a nursing home due to her cerebral palsy illness. Her passions were family and friends, especially her grandchildren and cooking. She was a very free spirited person who loved playing spades and solitaire.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Edmond (Marketa) Scruggs, Ashley Scruggs and Krystal Scruggs; three grandchildren, Jurnee Scruggs, Edmond Scruggs, Jr., and Jurnya Scruggs all of South Bend, IN; her siblings, Dan (Brenda) Scruggs and Steve (Karen) Scruggs both of Indianapolis, IN, Bruce (Bonita) Scruggs and Deborah (Ron) Alexander both of South Bend, IN; special friends, Kenneth Crawford and Pastor Deborah Givens along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Alford's Mortuary. Arrangements entrusted with Alford's Mortuary. www.Alfordsmortuaryinc.com
