MICHAEL D. MURPHY

SOUTH BEND - Michael D. Murphy, 45, passed away Monday, January 15, in his residence after an extended illness. Michael was born September 23, 1961, in South Bend, IN, to Donald F. and Judith (Bennett) Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Murphy, who passed away in 1986.

Michael is survived by a daughter, Stacy Murphy of Mishawaka; sons, Michael (Amy) Murphy of Ft. Worth, Texas, who is now serving his country in Iraq, and David Murphy of South Bend; his father, Donald F. Murphy of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; two sisters, Victoria (Rock) Reeder of South Bend and Susan Murphy of Mishawaka; a brother, William Murphy of Niles, MI; and by a grandmother, Evelyn Murphy of South Bend, IN.

Prior to Michael's illness, he worked for Ancon Construction Company as a carpenter, and was a LaSalle High School graduate.

There will be no visitation. Private family services will be held in the Welsheimer Funeral Home.
