CAROLINE TROUPE

SOUTH BEND - Caroline Troupe, 47, beloved sister, who resided on Generations Drive, South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 10:42 a.m. on Friday, October 22, 2010, in the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, Indiana. Caroline was born to Harold and Lillie Bell (Mitchell) Troupe on October 12, 1963, in Okolona, Mississippi. They both preceded her in death.

She graduated from LaSalle High School in 1983 and furthered her education one year at Bethel College. She worked at various nursing homes as a nurse's aide. She was a member of New Horizons Outreach Ministry. Her hobbies included singing, watching sporting events, and playing video games.

Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lillie Bell (Mitchell) Troupe; one brother; Herman Carr; and a nephew, Otis Nelson.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include one sister, Ollie (and her husband, Leotis) Nelson; two brothers, Jimmy (and his wife, Gwendolyn) Troupe and Pal (and his wife, Stefanie) Troupe; nieces and nephews, Chantyl, Langston, Christian, Kevin, Cameron, Donneen, Dante' and Deandrea; one special friend, Mary Grable, all of South Bend; along with a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held for Caroline Troupe at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Alford's Mortuary. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary where messages of condolence may be e-mailed to Alfordsmortuary@comcast.net, c/o the Troupe family.
