Class of 1972 has lost Lion Thomas J. Kelly. You will be missed. Rest in peace Thomas.

Thomas J. Kelly, 69, of South Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 4, 1953 in Battle Creek, MI., to the late Joseph W. Kelly Jr and Dorothy (Newman) Kelly. A 1972 graduate of LaSalle High School, Tom remained a lifelong resident of the area.

Thomas is survived by his son, Daniel Lee Kelly of Ukiah, California, and longtime companion Maria Klota, his brothers, Joseph W. (Marcia) Kelly of South Bend, Martin (Betsy) Kelly of South Bend, Charles (Lori) Kelly of South Bend, Gavin (Vicky) Kelly of Sarasota, FL, Tim (Bernie) Kelly of Morrison, CO., Edward “Ned” Kelly of North Fort Myers, FL, and his sister in law, Carole Kelly of Phoenix, AZ, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Sean Kelly.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and the family will be holding a private celebration of life. Palmer Funeral Home – Welsheimer North Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
