On January 10, 2023 our Lord God welcomed our beloved wife and mother Kathy Ann (McConnell) Landen into His kingdom. Born August 15, 1962 in South Bend, Indiana to John Charles and Sally Jean (Goss) McConnell. Kathy attended South Bend LaSalle High School (grad ‘80) where she began her life with Bryan Edward Landen whom she married on July 24, 1982. Bryan and Kathy celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past July.

Kathy graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette in 1984 with a degree in microbiology and retired from Eli Lilly and Company in 2017 where she served as Sr Quality Director. During her career, she was honored to travel the globe visiting facilities on practically every continent. In addition to traveling, she lived in Florence, Italy for 2 years and Strasbourg, France for 4 years. Kathy believed her work was saving lives and she loved to mentor and teach wherever she could serve.

Kathy was also involved in her local community and served as a Girl Scout troop leader, the aquatic club president, and the Mt Olive Lutheran Church parish planning committee. Kathy loved cooking tremendously and prided herself on large family gatherings. More than anything, Kathy loved traveling with her loving husband Bryan across the globe, visiting interesting places and seeing the world. She also cherished all of her grandchildren with all her heart.

Kathy was preceded in death by both parents. Surviving Kathy is her husband, Bryan Edward Landen and her sisters Kelly Cowsert, South Bend, Indiana and Karen (James) Bond, Bella Vista, Arkansas, Daughter Kate (Shawn) Murray, their 3 children, Landen, Tyler, and Layla of Morgantown, Indiana and Son Kenneth (Lucia) Landen, and their daughter Luna of San Diego, California as well as 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
