Brian Daryl Givens Sr., fondly known as Red passed away at the age of 52 in Indianapolis, Indiana the evening of June 18, 2023.

Mr. Givens was born on August 10, 1970 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Rachel L. (Anderson) Givens. Red was a proud graduate of LaSalle High School and later attended Ivy Tech Community College. He was a successful real estate investor, known for his ambitious hustler spirit, sense of humor, charisma, and dedication to his family. His laughter and jokes were infectious; he never failed to put a smile on the faces of those around him. Red was a strong leader and respected figure in his community.

He is survived by his daughter, Brittney Givens of Fort Wayne, Indiana; sons, Brian Givens Jr., Marshaum Givens, Branton (Kristin) Givens Sr., and Bryant Givens all South Bend, Indiana. Bri'Shaunn Givens, Braelynn Givens, and Bry’Sonn Givens of Indianapolis, IN; 16 grandchildren; sister, Sheila Anderson, brothers, Anthony S. Givens, George E. (Roniela) Givens all of South Bend, Indiana, and Kitral J. (Cynthia) Givens of Minneapolis, Minnesota. An Aunt, Rosie (Jimmy) Scales of South Bend, Indiana. 

Brian’s legacy will live on through his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched. He was an amazing father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. His memory will be cherished by those who knew him, and his impact on the community will not be forgotten.

Brian Daryl Givens Sr., was preceded in death by his grandmother Janie B. (Brown)Anderson, his beloved mother Rachel L. (Anderson) Givens, his brother Charles Thornton, his brother-in-law Edward Anderson and his nephew Deshawn Givens.

Funeral services for Mr. Brian Daryl Givens Sr., will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 1620 S. Saint Joseph St. South Bend, Indiana 46613. Friends may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Graveside services and burial will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery.
