Kurt Klaus Hein
Kurt Klaus Hein, 55, residing in South Bend, passed away at 1:04 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2006, in Elkhart General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Hein was born on May 25, 1950, in Frankfurt, Germany, to the late Gerard and Margot (Hein) Templeton. He had lived in South Bend since 1958.
Mr. Hein served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of the First Marine Division. He was a graduate of LaSalle High School and Ivy Tech College. Mr. Hein was a talented welder, working with White Farm Equipment and Atwood Mobile Products.
Mr. Hein is survived by one daughter, Stacie (Kurt) Hoger of Granger; two sons, Erich Klaus Hein and Aaron Dean Hein, both of South Bend; one stepdaughter, Justice Quiggle of Bloomfield, Iowa; one granddaughter, Ericha Hoger; his twin brother, Glenn (Yvonne) Hein of South Bend; two nieces, Diana Hein of Elkhart and Christina Hein of Mishawaka; one great-niece, Abigail Sink; and his extended family, Linda (Joe) Paszli of Granger and Lorry Quiggle of Moulton, Iowa.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2006, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend.
Military graveside services will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services in the funeral home.
