Thomas O. Csiszar
March 21, 1957 - Aug. 26, 2005
Thomas Oral Csiszar, 48, of Lions Park, St. Joseph, Ml, died at 12:55 A.M. Friday, August 26, 2005, in Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph Ml, after a traffic accident on Michigan 139 in Royalton Township, Ml. Tom had worked for the past 20 years at WSBT-TV. He contributed in many ways at WSBT, but was also a photo journalist. Tom was born March 21, 1957, in South Bend, and had lived in this area most all of his life.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia (High) Csiszar; sister, Carla (Mark) Huegel; two nieces, Kara Leigh and Kelcie Huegel, all of South Bend. A great-nephew, Cameren James Huegel, was the light of Tom's life. Also surviving are several aunts and uncles, Joseph (Irene) Csiszar of South Bend and their children, Charles Csiszar of Carmel, IN, and Dr. Lynne Cary of Granger, IN; aunt, Marian Mills of New Carlisle and her children, Diane De Meyer, Andy Mills and Betts Jo Sales; aunt, Sandra (Dr. James) Starrett of Murfreesboro, TN, and their children, James and Jennifer Starrett; and three other cousins, Lynn Walden and William Walden of Russellville, KY, and Lana (Joel) Walker of Phenix City, AL.
Family who have preceded Tom in death include his father, Carl George Csiszar; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Csiszar; maternal grandparents, Oral B. and Nell (Carter) High; and an aunt, Peggy Smalling.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 29, in the Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Pastor Joel Walker will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. today in the funeral home.
Tom graduated from LaSalle High School and Middle Tennessee State College with a telecommunications major. He was a friend to anyone he met. Memorial contributions may go to the charity of donor's choice
