LAKEVILLE - Kathryn “Kat” E. Brook, 60, of Lakeville, IN passed away at 6:28 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 26, 1957 in South Bend, IN to Alex and Fern W. (Miller) Tomaszewski.

Kat is survived by her daughter, Kandace (Adam) DeMeyer; son, Kenneth Ashely (Stacey) Brook of Tinley Park, IL; four grandchildren, Ashton, Maddison, Payton and Rhylann and six siblings. Steve Tomaszewski, Martin (Judy) Tomaszewski, Susan (Mike) Chrapliwy, Mariellan (Bruce) Weaver, John (Patty) Tomaszewski and Alan Tomaszewski. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Kat was a lifelong resident. She was an administrator in the education field. She loved fishing, gardening, crafting and reading. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Dolphins fan. Kat was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Adoration Society.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Palmer Funeral Home within the Palmer Community Complex, 601 N. Michigan St. Lakeville, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
