Jeremiah Horton, 42, of North Sheridan Street, South Bend, Ind., died Sunday, Dec. 8. He was born on Aug. 21, 1960, to the union of Elonzo and Willie Bee (Johnson) Horton, who both preceded him in death.

He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1979, and served in the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1983. He is survived by sisters, Elizabeth A. Horton and Pinky (Horton) Austin, both of South Bend, brothers, Thomas K. McFerren and Ezekiel R. Horton, both of South Bend, and Abraham Horton of Fort Wayne, Ind.; uncles, Firdia (Virginia) Johnson and Andrew Brown, both of South Bend, aunt, Rosie Lee Johnson of Bakersfield, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Four best friends, Alfernando (Corky) Lax, Chester Gilmore, Eddie (Too Tall) Showers and Kenny Lax, all of South Bend.

Services for Mr. Jeremiah Horton will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, In the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 1032 W. Washington St., South Bend. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements
