Paul J. Mejer

Mishawaka- Paul J. Mejer, 65, passed away at Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 15, 2018. Paul was born on June 14, 1952 in South Bend, IN to the late John and Josephine (Riffel) Mejer.

On May 27, 1994 in South Bend he married Ruth Wheatbrook who survives him. Paul is also survived by his daughters, Jessica Mejer and Sarah (Hunter) Wagner; son, Joseph Mejer; step children, Jacob (Amanda) Rhoads, Jeremy (Jaimie) Barts, Justin Gamble and Joseph Gamble; 15 grandchildren and sisters Kathy Cruickshank, Maryann (Walt) Vanlue, Josephine (Robert) Mayfield and Pauline (Doug) Holland.

Paul is preceded in death by his brothers, John Mejer and Don Riffel.

Paul honorably served our country in the US Army from 1970 to 1973, completing his high school education while stationed in Germany. He went on to become a manufacturing engineer for Bendix and Honeywell, retiring after 33 years of  service.

Paul was a gifted musician, playing the piano and accordion. He loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of ABATE. Paul was a member and enjoyed spending time at the American Legion Post 303. Paul will forever be remembered as a loving family man and the world's greatest grandpa.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 4 PM at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544. Friends may visit with the family three hours prior to service.
