Donald J. Lowe
October 22, 1958 - June 23, 2024
Donald J. Lowe, 65, of Osceola, IN, passed away on Sunday June 23, 2024 in Elkhart. He was born on October 22, 1958 in South Bend, IN to C. Lynn and Dolores (Dombrowski) Lowe. He married Rebecca Everett on August 28, 1984. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2023.
He is survived by his sons, Andy (Holly) Lowe and John (Abby) Lowe; 3 grandchildren: Tyler and Mason Jackson and Madison Poe; and 3 sisters: Linda (Tony) Hums, Carol (Michael) Bodnar and Mary (Rick) Maciejewski.
In addition to his wife, Donald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ellen.
Donald was employed for many years on the highway crew for INDOT. At the age of 58, Don went back to night school to get his GED. He loved his John Deere tractors and making his yard pristine- all with a cold Coors Light in hand.
He got great joy from decorating for the holidays. Halloween and Christmas were his favorites. His family will miss seeing what inflatable he found to put in the yard next.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens is assisting the family with arrangements.
