Lance Cpl. James E. Ryg

Lance Cpl. James E. Ryg, 21, of Clarkston, Ga., formerly of South Bend, died Friday, Aug. 29, following a one-car collision in Atlanta. He was stationed with the U.S. Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, N.C. He was born Sep. 10, 1964, in Kane County, Ill, lived in South Bend until 1983. 

Surviving are two sisters, Nancy Flanagan of Newnan, Ga., and Lynne Ryg of Atlanta; a brother, Jeffrey of Auburn, Ala.; his parents, Beverly and Robert Ryg of Atlanta; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. F.E. Stone of Lake land, Fla.; and paternal grand mother, Ruth Ryg of Newnan.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in H.M. Patterson & Son Funeral Home, Atlanta. Burial was in Marietta National Cemetery, Ga.

He was a graduate of LaSalle High School.
