Harry A. Fuchs

SOUTH BEND — Services for Harry A. Fuchs, 59, of 117 W. Northshore Drive, who died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Stepan Center at the University of Notre Dame. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Mr. Fuchs was an English teacher at LaSalle High School 

He was born Sept. 30, 1930, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident. On Jan. 30, 1962, in South Bend, he married Frieda R. Kurz. She died Jan. 29, 1987. Survivors include two sons, Andrew and Kurt, both of South Bend; and his mother, Leopoldine Fuchs of South Bend. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and a member of the University Club.
